AC and DC Electrical Systems

The AC and DC electrical systems on you boat are the foundation for every other system on the vessel, from the engines to the entertainment systems. We specialize in designing and building electrical systems that are specifically suited to the needs for your vessel, and which allow for the safe, reliable and comfortable operation of your yacht.

From simple repairs to complete rewires, we do it all, including in depth diagnostics, corrosion prevention, system design, solar power, generator installation and repair, everything to do with your vessel’s electrical system.

Marine Electronics

Today’s marine electronics are nothing short of amazing. Chart plotters that display your precise location, AIS systems that show who’s around you, fish finders that can map the bottom in detail, autopilots that can steer as well as any human: its all available from multiple vendors.

Recent Work

Solar Panel Installation

We installed 700 watts of solar panels on this Catalina 355 along with an MPPT controller. The customer needed the additional power to support a new mini freezer, and to keep from having to run his portable generator each day.

Water Maker

After his first winter in the Bahamas, this customer discovered that a water maker is a necessity. We installed this Cruise RO system to meet his needs.

Stove and Convection Microwave Oven

This Grand Banks owner likes to cook! We removed the existing electric cooktop/oven and replaced it with this cool (hot) propane fired cooktop. To replace the oven, we fitted a combination convection oven and microwave. A little custom wood work was required to make it all fit together. And, of course, we installed propane tanks in a new propane locker, which provided gas for a gas grill in the cockpit.

Even the best quality wiring won't last forever, and sometimes additional systems outstrip the ability of a vessel's existing electrical system. A rewire can add capacity and reliability.

Still the best bang for the buck, golf cart batteries make a great house bank. Properly cared for, they'll last for years and provide the deep discharge capacity that cruising boats need.

Cruise RO water makers are modular for ease of installation, made of readily sourced components (nothing proprietary), and put out a lot of water. In short, they're a great value.

We installed this propane cook top and convection/microwave oven to replace the original electric cooktop on a lovely Grand Banks yacht.

We replaced an existing bank of failing lighting transformers with these compact switching units.

This was a tight fit! We had to replace the water heater mounted over the generator with a more compact model to get everything in this compartment. We made the panel above to mount the new generator and other controls (the holes in the old one were too big).

Sometimes you've got to break out the gauges.

There wasn't a good way to get this generator out for repair, so we did it in situ. It was a tight fit, but we got it done.
